Vov Dylan - violin
A full time professional Solo Violinist and Leader for over 20 years. With a performance profile that has seen Vov nominated for Australian Instrumental Entertainer of the Year in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. For many years Vov has run his own Orchestra and his shows frequently tour to sold out houses in Theatres and Clubs throughout the East Coast of Australia.
Vov boasts a performing repertoire that covers Classical through to Jazz and contemporary where he gets booked to perform in all genres including a Classical recital at the Sydney Opera House with Panos Karan (which was sold out) through to performing as a cabaret artist on boutique international Cruise Ships.
He has recorded 12 studio albums released by Fanfare Classics and distributed via Sony Music These are available in most JB HiFi, Sanity and other physical sale outlets in Australia and New Zealand.
These recordings include a special release of World Lullabies in aid of Starlight Foundation (where sales of the albums helped to support over 500 kids in Starlight Wards for a full year).
Vov also had the honour of doing the first recordings in Australia of Bartok’s 44 Duo’s for Two Violins – additionally these where the first released recordings of these works in the ‘performance order’ as suggested by Bartok in his publication notes. Other albums have covered the performance genres and styles of popular to light classical repertoire through to contemporary Broadway.

As a teacher Vov has been employed professionally since 1999 with experience in small local music schools, Government Schools, Private Schools and Universities. His responsibilities have included hiring staff and co-teachers, running string sections at music camps, giving private lessons, group lessons and conducting ensemble and orchestral ensembles.
In Australia he has experience teaching with the AMEB, ABRSM and Trinity exam syllabi through to diploma level. Vov’s students have gone on to win top exam results, scholarships, eisteddfods, and even become performers and teachers in their own right.
Since 2017, Vov's teaching profile and experience has become international with conducting masterclasses in Hong Kong and also virtually with students in Belgium, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Accra.
Vov has also been associated with Keys Of Change Orchestras in Japan, Accra and the formation of the new Chennai Youth Sinfonietta.
Vov’s passion is the Violin, and in sharing that passion. Through a lifetime of music Vov has a focus of how to think Violin, and in how to help students understand the beauty that is the instrument to then feel confident in themselves to be able to play any piece they desire.
